I generally offer two different types of services:
Editing: Working from an existing English draft (yours, a translator's, a co-author's, or an early draft from any source) to refine it for accuracy, tone, and fluency, correcting grammatical or other language errors in the process.
Translation: Working from an Arabic language source document to produce an accurate and carefully edited English-language version.
These services are available at different levels:
Light Copyedit: Edits to fix grammar, punctuation, consistency, clarity, and terminology for texts that are almost final. The overall structure and meaning are generally not changed.
Substantive Edit: This involves edits at the sentence-level to improve flow, tone, and register, plus a review of consistency and terminology. Generally this is for rough translations or texts that have been drafted quickly, where the ideas are there but the English isn't yet natural or precise.
Full Translation and Edit: Translation from Arabic to English followed by a full editorial pass, so the final text matches the content and register of the original.
